Mary-Clare Cornwallis

Born and brought up in Kent but having spent holidays in Scotland, Mary-Clare now lives permanently with her actor husband and four children in Galloway. Mainly self-taught, she takes her inspiration from the beautiful countryside surrounding her home, her love of colour and her ever increasing menagerie of domestic animals.

She has exhibited successfully in London, Brisbane, Edinburgh and Kirkcudbright and her work can be seen in collections as far afield as France, Australia and Brazil. Her paintings are predominantly botanical watercolours and she is happiest painting on a very large scale.
